One for all my fellow Practical magic fans!
 
Twice a year under a  Full moon, I make a single batch of my interpretation of Maria Owen's famous black soap following Alice Hoffman's recipe as close as possible using some serious skin magick ingredients.
For those of you that don't know, Maria's magical black soap was reknowned for making those that use it appear up to ten years younger than they are!
 
Olive oil is infused with licorice root to brighten and even out skintone, reducing the appearance of blemishes and dark patches. It can help skin calm irritated skin due to it's Anti-inflammatory, Anti-microbial and Anti oxidant properties can help slow skin ageing and repair damage. 
 
Lavender oil soothes irritated skin and breakouts, helping prevent infection and speeding up healing, can improve the appearance of skin and offer protection against free radicals and environmental damage.
 
Due to its anti-bacterial and anti inflammatory properties, rosemary oil can deeply cleanse the pores and reduce redness. It also improves blood circulation, improving skin tone and reduce the appearance of under eye dark circles and puffiness.
 
Rose's antibacterial properties help to cleanse and tone the skin while preventing the formation of acne, it helps to keep the skin hydrated, tones & tightens and helps to reduce sebum production. Rose oil helps soothe irritation, boost healthy collagen production and slows down free radical damage due to it's antioxident content.
 
Clove Oil helps to prevent fine lines and wrinkles, promoting blood circulation and improving the tone of the skin, magically bringing positivity and protection.
 
Rowan berries are powerful amulets of protection, Calendula petals offer  positivity, warmth and inspiration and rose petals guard against negative energy and boost feelings of attraction and self esteem.

As our soaps are handmade and coloured using natural materials they may vary slightly in colour, size and weight. Avoid contact with eyes, for eternal use only. If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately. Not recommended for children under 3.
